Drayson's day!

Our dear friends are having their first baby today, Drayson. We got the call last nigh that her water had broke and they were admitted to labor and delivery. We are just waiting for the call that he is here. In the meantime I had to keep myself occupied, so I decided to replicate the blanket I had made for my sis-in-law(one of my first posts). Now I am done and need something else to do. The pic above looks exactly like Rossi our yellow lab. The reason I chose this material is because the soon-to-be parents have three dogs. Baby Drayson will I am sure grow up loving dogs. The back of the blanket is minky dot in blue, so soft.

I hope Drayson enjoys his new blankie. Hope to meet you soon baby.

Crafts.

I have been working on very few projects lately. The garden needs attention, it is too pretty out, and this girl needs some vitamin D. This is one of the small projects I did a little while ago, it is a mason jar terrarium. Had the jar lying around, put some soil in the bottom, and went to the darkest corners of the yard to dig up some moss. Place the moss right over dirt and voila. It only has to be watered every other week, I heart low maintenance. Isn't it cute?

I love vacation.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation to Sunriver Oregon. We biked, hiked, ate, drank, rafted, and napped in between. The hiking took place in an underground lava cave-very cold 38 degrees. the ceiling of the cave got very low which you can see in some of the pics. I f you are looking for a great outdoor vacation adventure go to Sunriver, you won't regret it.

We also had lunch with some wildlife on the patio, this is why you don't feed wild animals. They beg just like a dog, and get quite picky- no sourdough bread for this deer.

And we can't leave out the posed scenery pictures.
