Life is like a garden, beautiful and creative. You fuss over it and tend it, but sometimes there is going to be a weed. Those weeds makes us work harder to perfect our garden.

The habitat store.
Last Wednesday I stopped by our local Habitat for Humanity store. At this store you can donate things, they also accept donations from businesses that are going under. I found an old salvaged, three-pane window. It is going to become a chalkboard/message board. I also found some olive subway tile for the backsplash in our kitchen. The deals were amazing and the people watching was even better. I think I might have to make a monthly stop for some junking. They also had beautiful solid wood doors, too bad I don't need one. I will post some pics later of the before/after message board.
In other news I am tossing around the idea of opening an etsy store. It would be a lot of time and effort but I think I could really sell my products. I also am worried that it might suck the fun out of my crafting. If you have any experience or stories please leave a comment. Thanks!

I am leaving on a jet plane!
Today there is a lot to do. Must clean, launder, pack, and get some shut eye. I didn't realize when I booked our flight that it also happened to be daylight savings, it will be an early one. Bon voyage.

Viva Las Vegas.
Ry and I leave on Sunday-woohoo. I can't wait to get out of town, shop, gamble, eat, drink, and relax. I will post some pics when we get home. Wish us luck in the gambling department. Mama needs a new pair of shoes.

Circle loom love.
I have finished four hats just this week. My friend e-mailed our inspirational blog, who gaves us the idea to start the Noah hat project. She stated that she was completely honored by what we set out to do. Her blog is whenhellomeansgoodbye.blogspot.com, her experience is true lesson in courage, strength, and faith. You should take a glance at what true bravery is.

Crafts
I have fallen in love with a circle knitting loom. You know the one, the round thing with all the pegs, you probably used it at girl scout camp. Anyway, I have a friend that lost her son almost two years ago. She wanted to do something in his memory, to help other babies. So we talked and decided we would knit some baby hats, to donate to the NICU and Labor and Delivery. I will publish some pics of them, so cute. the loom makes the baby hats so quick and easy.
